Dear Audy,

The unfortunate thing about living in a rather small apartment is that I can only have one project fully on the go at a time...I'm currently still making Ada pretty and thus the easel is filling up my table...the same table I use to do my sewing on! Yes, I could pack up the pencils and pack her away on the side of the room, then get the sewing out, then pack the sewing up and get her things out again to work on her....but that all just sounds like too much work, Audy!

Here's a little sneak peak at how she's going....

I expect to have her finished pretty soon so that I can stitch together Miss Bonnie....and she will shut up with her perfectly proper make me whining. I'll make you when I have space, damn it!!

There is something I need to confess.

I am an addict.

A contact addict.

I like to read in the bath and I am probably not the only person out there who's books are a bit rough from getting soggy round the edges...but I am probably one of very few for whom this issue has lead to an entire change of book loving lifestyle. They all must be contacted. Everything I read. Must be contacted. Want your books contacted? Lend them to me, they'll come back with a nice plastic sheen...am I the only one? Even that hardcover book there....the hard cover one that comes with a dust jacket...yeah.....I contacted it.

In other news...my pondering today has been this: When you decide to grow out your natural hair colour (which I am, but that is a story about laziness and shall be told another time) for a while you have different coloured roots. But then the root colour gets longer and then eventually it's longer than the dyed colour on the end....so at which point does it stop being a dark root? My conclusion is this: Never. I conclude that it is a root until you cut the ends off. What say you, Audy?

Love & Rambling

I agree, the length of uncoloured hair is the "roots" until you have chopped off the coloured ends. Then it's just your hair.

Ada is beautiful. I can feel her inspiring me already, even though she's not quite finished. And I think she's going to inspire lots of other people too!
